Michael L. Hacker has owned McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, Inc. since 2009. Ever since, Mike has taken every opportunity to grow the business. In 2014 when he acquired the former McHenry Funeral Home in Dushore. The funeral home was completely remodeled and officially opened in January of 2016. 

Shortly after the opening of our new Dushore location, Mike launched a new division of McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home to what we know it as today, MT Memorials. 

As time progressed, MT Memorials began to grow, resulting in a division much larger than Mike could have ever imagined. 

In 2023 Mike purchased the Spitler Funeral Home in Montoursville and rebranded it to McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home - Montoursville. This has allowed the Monument division to grow tremendously as MT Memorials now serves 6 counties surrounding Lycoming and Sullivan counties.
